Family business examinations have reached a tipping point and are being considered a definite
and legitimate field of mainstream scholarly activities. However, elaborations on family firm
strategic management endured confined, necessitating further research, specifically concerning
the empirical progress that has been achieved in terms of vigorous strategic management
perspectives, leading to a dynamic capabilities approach. Providing a theoretical reconciliation
and quantitative content analysis, the study finds continuous interoperation among ‘familiness’
and ‘family-learning-mechanisms’ extended by ‘socioemotional-wealth-continuation’ to
constructstrategic management in familial organizations besides significant correlations among
Teece’s capability triad and 172 German family firms strategic formulation contingent on the
respective entrepreneurial segment, thus, contributing significant implications for strategic
managers and scholars utilizing practical terminology
