This project serves as a starting point for Sport Lisboa e Benfica to design a strategic plan for
sustainable growth of women's football. It focuses on the critical success factors of facilities
and resources, partnerships, fan engagement and player engagement. To address this
challenge, the project leverages on current women’s football and sports literature and expert
interviews to analyze the external and internal situation, while benchmarking other
successful European clubs and leagues, culminating on a set of recommendations to achieve
sustainable commercial and sporting success.
