Resumo(s)
This thesis aims to achieve a better understanding of consumers payment behavior, with a focus on
the use of physical cards. Therefore, a literature review and an empirical experiment with 422
participants were conducted to identify the top of wallet payment instruments, adoption towards
FinTechs, user preferences, and shifts in consumer behavior. Analysis of the survey data revealed
that the most common form of payment depends heavily on the circumstances in which it is used,
as well as demographic factors. On this result, possible reasonings were discussed and an outlook
on the research topic was given.
