O presente Relatório de Estágio foca-se na tradução audiovisual, nomeadamente no processo de legendagem na área do jornalismo televisivo, baseando-se no trabalho efetuado ao longo de três meses, na empresa SPELL Translation Solutions, Lda. O Relatório encontra-se dividido em três capítulos principais. O primeiro visa dar a conhecer as características da instituição de acolhimento, em particular o método de trabalho seguido ao longo do estágio. O segundo capítulo centra-se na fundamentação teórica do trabalho, no âmbito do jornalismo televisivo, da tradução audiovisual e também do estatuto do tradutor. No terceiro e último capítulo analisam-se as principais características da legendagem para a informação, com particular enfoque no processo de tradução e no trabalho realizado, bem como nos problemas de tradução ocorridos. Para concluir, apresenta-se uma reflexão final sobre a experiência enquanto estagiária, bem como sobre as aprendizagens adquiridas ao longo do estágio.
This Report focuses on audiovisual translation, namely the subtitling process in the field of television journalism. The present study is centred in the work done during a threemonth internship at the SPELL Translation Solutions, Lda. company. The Report is divided into three main chapters. The first one describes the characteristics and methodology of the work carried out in institution during the internship. The second chapter focuses on the theoretical basis, namely in field of television journalism, audiovisual translation, and also the translator's status. The third and last chapter analyses the main aspects of subtitling in the field of information, with particular emphasis on the translation process and the work done, as well as on translation problems. To conclude, the Report presents a final reflection on the experience as a trainee, as well as well as on the knowledge acquired throughout the internship.
