The aim of this study relied on exposing the current European VCs trends and practices in their
decision-making. We present a thorough analysis of the typical and current VC process. From
the pre-investment screening to the post-investment support, we focused on the VCs
contribution to the economy’s innovation, the selection criteria and quantitative techniques
considered by VCs, and the linkage between the post-investment support and the start-up's
success. We are confident the information published may increase the likelihood of an
agreement between the European VC and the entrepreneur, as we strove to enhance the topic’s
awareness to both parties.
