O presente trabalho diz respeito ao Processo de Realojamento do Bairro da Cruz Vermelha situado na zona do Lumiar. Uma visão sustentada num trabalho de investigação realizado através de um estágio na GEBALIS e que tem como fim último perceber as expetativas dos moradores face à mudança para o novo bairro e também compreender um pouco da sua história de vida e do seu percurso habitacional. Desta forma a pertinência do tema em conjunto com o seu objetivo prende-se com o facto de quanto maior for o conhecimento privilegiado acerca da questão melhor podemos responder aos problemas e necessidades dos mesmos. Para a realização do estudo foi elaborada uma revisão da literatura sobre a habitação em Portugal, desde os seus primórdios até aos dias correntes, paralelamente foi apresentada a GEBALIS enquanto entidade pública de modo a conhecer o que faz e quais os seus princípios regentes. E ainda um breve contexto histórico sobre o Bairro da Cruz Vermelha. Foram realizadas 5 entrevistas semiestruturadas a 5 moradores do Bairro da Cruz Vermelha e posteriormente transcritas e analisadas pormenorizadamente. Verificou-se que apesar de existirem algumas opiniões divergentes entre os moradores, a maioria está de acordo quando a palavra “mudança” é mencionada. A partir desses resultados podemos revelar que apesar de todos terem conhecimento de que vão ter mesmo de sair das suas habitações atuais, tinham preferência em ficar onde estão apesar das condições não serem as melhores.
This work was based on the Reinsertion Process of Bairro da Cruz Vermelha (Cruz Vermelha Neighborhood) located in Lumiar. A vision sustained on an investigation work developed trough an internship on GEBALIS which has as main objective the understanding of the inhabitant’s expectations regarding the move to the new neighborhood and also know something about their lifetime story, and their habitational path. The relevance of this work relates to the fact that we can identify a better solution if we have a better understanding of the problems.To carry out the study it has to be done a literature revision on the habitation in Portugal since its beginnings until the recent days. GEBALIS was presented along this process as a public entity with the objective to understand it’s work and what were is principals. And yet a brief historical context about Cruz Vermelha. There were also made 5 half structured interviews to 5 residents of the Cruz Vermelha Neighborhood and therefor transcribed and reviewed in detail. It was clear that the majority of the residents agreed with the process of changing, although there were some contradictory opinions. Given this results we could conclude that despite everyone know they are about to change their residences, they would prefer to stay in their residence, even though they are in very poor conditions.
