Placing a strategic focus on ESG integration by SMEs can lead to financial outperformance
across several industries. Investment attraction is growing exponentially, fuelled by an
increased awareness of the long-term impact that sustainability can bring when maximized
to its full potential. Although the maturity of the market still presents a major challenge to
overcome in the coming yearsto underlying portfolio, research has validated the hypothesis
that financial players are driven by companies that seek to capitalize on the opportunity to
optimize performance through sustainability.
