Esta dissertação estuda a memória e o património desportivo em clubes de futebol da região de Lisboa, através de dois estudos de caso: o CD Mafra e o Torreense. A investigação partiu da seguinte pergunta: como é feita a patrimonialização da memória em clubes de futebol de pequena dimensão em Portugal? Tem como objetivos: contribuir para o estudo do património desportivo em Portugal; estudar as formas de patrimonialização existentes; analisar a relação entre a preservação do património e a preservação da memória clubística e as consequências da sua presença vs ausência. Trata-se de uma investigação qualitativa exploratória baseada em diversas entrevistas (a clubes, a adeptos, entidades); realização do estado da arte e a visita às instalações dos clubes. Foi possível constatar que a área do estudo do património desportivo em Portugal, encontra-se ainda em desenvolvimento, tendo uma base legislativa prevista desde 2017, faltando realizar um inventário nacional, estudos e classificação, plano de preservação e uma clara associação ao turismo. Com base nos resultados obtidos, foi possível concluir que o modelo de patrimonialização segue o modelo da musealização, adotado pelos clubes de maior dimensão enquanto importantes centros de referência na área, não tendo, os clubes de pequena dimensão, na sua maioria, iniciativas patrimoniais. O CD Mafra apesar de ter uma consciência patrimonial, encontra-se numa fase básica de recolha e armazenamento de espólio, com o objetivo de preservação da memória clubística. O Torreense, por outro lado, apresenta uma dinâmica patrimonial, assente na criação de um museu em 2020 e na estratégia patrimonial da preservação do seu espólio e da sua memória. Por fim, foram realizadas algumas recomendações.
This dissertation studies the memory and sports heritage of football clubs in the Lisbon region through two case studies: the CD Mafra and the Torreense. The research was initiated with the question: How is memory heritage done in small-scale football clubs in Portugal? It aims to contribute to the research on sport heritage in Portugal, to study the existing forms of patrimonialization, to analyse the relationship between the preservation of heritage and the preservation of club memory, and the consequences of its presence vs absence. This is an exploratory qualitative research based on several interviews (to clubs, fans, and entities), the realization of the state of the art and the visit to club facilities. It was possible to state that research on sport heritage in Portugal is still developing: it has a legal basis in the works since 2017; and it is missing a national inventory, studies and classifications, preservation plans and a clear association with the tourism sector. Given the results of this research it is possible to conclude that the patrimonialization model follows the musealization model (adopted by the larger clubs, as important centres of reference) and the small-scale clubs, for the most part, do not have heritage initiatives. The CD Mafra, despite being aware of its heritage, is at a basic phase of collection and storage of assets, intending to preserve the club's history. On the other hand, Torreense has far more developed its sport heritage dynamics: it founded its museum in 2020; and has a clear heritage strategy for the preservation of its assets and memory. With these considerations in mind, this dissertation presents some recommendations.
