The potential for shared value creation along MartinBauer’s botanical supply chains
The transformative change toward a supply chain that maximizes not only economic but also
social and environmental value is identified as a key for unlocking a sustainable future. The
qualitative data analysis from eleven semi-structured interviews provides insights on how
MartinBauer could adopt this Creating Shared Value (CSV) approach within its botanical
supply chains. Anchored in the different stakeholder needs and current positions on the path
towards sustainability, a clear CSV adoption plan is outlined. This research, therefore,
encourages new theoretical considerations in the CSV debate, and practically guides
MartinBauer in the way it integrates sustainability in its corporate strategy.
