O relatório tem como objetivo apresentar o trabalho desenvolvido durante o estágio realizado na empresa Eurologos-Lisboa, no âmbito do Mestrado de Tradução – Especialização em Inglês da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Além disso, descreve o estudo empreendido pelo estagiário relativo à presença que a tradução automática assume na empresa em questão. Não menos importante, permite aferir o desempenho de alguns tradutores automáticos, o do Google e o DeepL, em quatro documentos de domínios e tipologias diferentes: direito, marketing, economia e técnico.
This report aims to present the work carried out during my internship at Eurologos-Lisboa, within the framework of the Master’s Degree in Translation – Specialization in English, at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of NOVA University of Lisbon. Furthermore, it will aim to highlight the role that machine translation plays within the company in question. Last but not least, this study makes it possible to assess the performance of certain machine translators, such as that of Google and DeepL, which will be spread across four documents from different domains and typologies: law, marketing, economics and technical area.
