Personages al borde de un ataque de nervios: Psicanálise, a construção de personagens e o cinema de Pedro Almodóvar

A proposta deste trabalho consiste em analisar personagens dos filmes “Tudo sobre minha mãe” e “Volver”, ambos do guionista e realizador Pedro Almodóvar, sob o viés da psicanálise. A partir do resultado dessa análise, é feita uma reflexão sobre os aspetos que tornam as personagens deste realizador tão únicas e passíveis de identificação pelo público. Para este fim, são apresentados os conceitos dos arquétipos desenvolvidos por Carl Gustav Jung, bem como a classificação de perfis arquetípicos elaborada por Margaret Mark e Carol Pearson. Em seguida, são apresentados os conceitos do luto, pela perspectiva de Sigmund Freud, e do trauma, a partir dos estudos de Sigmund Freud e de Donald Winnicott. Na sequência, as personagens dos filmes “Tudo sobre minha mãe” e “Volver” são relacionadas a esses conceitos. Posteriormente, é feita uma breve exposição de relatos de Pedro Almodóvar sobre cenas que remetem aos conceitos do trauma e do luto, presentes nos filmes do realizador: “De salto alto”, “Fale com ela” e “A flor do meu segredo”. Subsequentemente, ele revela, em um depoimento, a reação de espectadores ao filme “Volver”, em especial, a emoção despertada pela película. Este estudo buscar mostrar que as personagens de Almodóvar estão identificadas com arquétipos que representam os grandes conflitos existenciais, bem como as necessidades humanas básicas de segurança, amor, realização e felicidade. Além disso, a associação dos conceitos de trauma e luto com os filmes “Tudo sobre minha mãe” e “Volver” revela que suas personagens seguem uma trajetória de superação. Assim, esta pesquisa conclui que esses aspetos contribuem para estabelecer uma profunda identificação do público com as personagens aqui analisadas.
The purpose of this work is to analyze characters from the films “All about my mother” and “Volver”, both written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar, from the point of view of psychoanalysis. From the result of this analysis, a reflection is made on the aspects that make the characters created by this director so unique and relatable. To this end, the concepts of archetypes developed by Carl Gustav Jung are presented, as well as the classification of archetypal profiles developed by Margaret Mark and Carol Pearson. Then, the concept of grief is presented, from the perspective of Sigmund Freud. Also the concept of trauma is presented, based on the studies of Sigmund Freud and Donald Winnicott. In the sequence, the characters of the films “All About My Mother” and “Volver” are related to these concepts. Subsequently, a brief exposition of Pedro Almodóvar's speeches about scenes from some os his movies that refer to the concepts of trauma and mourning is made: "High heels", "Talk to her" and "The flower of my secret". Then, he reveals, in a statement, the reaction of spectators to the film “Volver”, in particular, the emotion aroused by the film. This study shows that Almodóvar's characters are identified with archetypes that represent the great existential conflicts, as well as the basic human needs for security, love, fulfillment and happiness. In addition, the association of the concepts of trauma and grief with the films “All About My Mother” and “Volver” reveals that their characters follow a path of overcoming. Thus, this research concludes that these aspects contribute to establish a deep identification of the public with the characters analyzed in this project.
