Transforming culture has always been a key issue for traditional companies wanting to foster innovation to build competitive advantage against more agile competitors. This paper explores the path BTG+, a Brazilian digital bank that is a subsidiary of the biggest investment bank in Latin America, should follow to assess a successful cultural and consequently organizational transformation to support its digital strategy. The analysis will be divided in to three parts: 1) discussing the importance- of cultural transformation to drive performance and a digital strategy using the example of ING, 2) assessing the strengths and challenges of BTG+'s current culture, 3) uncovering the key steps BTG+ has to take to become more agile and compete with Nubank.
