This work project investigates the IPO valuation of Rivian, an electric vehicle company, based ona discounted cash flow framework. An initial analysis of the market in which Rivian competes was performed, as well as an assessment of Rivian's strategy. The valuation is based on information provided in Rivian's S-1 form and assumptions from especially comparable companies. The findings demonstrate a significant overvaluation, despite substantial expected revenue growth. This can be justified by a high expected return from investors and/ or by a general overvaluation of the market.
