This paper identifies active aging influencing factors in organizations. By using expert interviews with employees of a global FMCG company, a grounded theory model was created, which depicts the interdependencies and cause-effect relationships of the stakeholders: organization, leadership and employees. Based on this, recommendations for the practical application of active aging promoting measures are derived. It emerges that HR measures should focus on the reduction of age stereotypes, the empowerment of older employees and the training of managers in dealing with them. The relevance of the findings lies especially in the increasing urgency of the topic, given the demographic change.
