The modern business world is characterized by a rapid pace, constant change as well as increased disruption. In dealing with the changing market conditions, an increasing number of organizations adopt the concept of purpose to engage their work force, differentiate from the competition and attract the best talent. This master thesis with the title “Understanding the development and integration of purpose in start up organizations” aims at examining how leaders of start ups integrate and develop the concept of purpose. It will provide clarification about the purpose conception within young organizations and establish the purpose integration framework for its successful implementation.
