This paper discusses the operational model needed to launch a start up. The start up in question deals with artificial pollination of fruit plants. The model focuses on the initial phases of the activity, the supply of components and two R&D projects. The characteristics of the equipment necessary to be able to operate and provide a service are analyzed. The operational mode of our revolutionary pollination system is explained. Research conducted through scientific papers and independent research,as wellas direct contact with possible suppliers and partners. Feed back from industry professionals was fundamental to understanding the needs and how to execute.
