The thesis was written with the intention to provide an elaborate analysis of Netflix and the realms in which it is operating, hence establishing the subsisting as well as the future challenges affecting the first mover within the industry. Therefore, a structured industry overview was drawn categorizing Netflix within its operating regions. Existing and developing trends were portrayed with their respective ramifications on Netflix and an in-depth competitor analysis was conducted. At the end an outlook was given, illustrating diversifying measures taken by the company to responding to the developing market dynamics.
