Nowadays, there is a substantial investment in the digital as an instrument capable of defying the current status quo. As a result, social and political movements like feminism, sometimes restricted and marginalized by the traditional media, can now find a stage on social media. Through an analysis of the Portuguese and Brazilian outlooks, this investigation aims to identify where is the most consolidated feminist activism on Instagram and which factors are behind that consolidation. Interviews with online relevant feminist activists' profiles, combined with the analysis of engagement rates, uncovered a dynamic and multidimensional view of cyberfeminism in Portugal and Brazil. It was concluded that Portuguese activists' profiles have more engaging content and a proportionately more prominent and more interactive supporter base than their Brazilian profiles. Furthermore, it was possible to identify success factors associated with high engagement profiles, such as frequency, message, legitimacy, and design.
