The visible changes on the planet cry out for transformation. It is high time to recognize, explore and harness the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the proper purpose of responsible consumerism (RC). Therefore, this exploratory work takes a new perspective and assesses the potentials of AI to contribute to RC by means of expert interviews. The results allow for identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats when integrating AI as a strategic tool for businesses to support sustainable consumer decisions and should be regarded as an impulse for future investigations and provide food for thought among business insiders for subsequent discussions.
