When Covid-19 swept in and took the world hostage, many were the businesses that did not survive. Hertz was one of these companies. The present case aims to understand the reasons behind Hertzās bankruptcy and what in its history led to the ultimate chapter 11 filing. This paper will look at univariate ratio assessment and multi-discriminant models for the prediction of corporate failure and evaluate the companyās position beforeCovid-19.
