A presente dissertação tem como objetivo, por meio de uma perspectiva que privilegia o enfoque transnacional, investigar as convergências e aproximações entre o movimento negro brasileiro e anticolonial em Portugal na luta contra a hegemonia cultural, nomeadamente, o complexo cultural lusotropical na década de 1950. Ademais, serão apresentadas as interrelações entre Gilberto Freyre, Brasil e Portugal na constituição dessa narrativa transnacional para então dissecá-la segundo as lideranças do movimento negro e anticolonial.
The present dissertation aims, through a perspective that privileges the transnational approach, to investigate the convergences and approximations between the Brazilian black movement and the anti-colonial struggle in Portugal in the fight against the cultural hegemony, namely, the Lusotropical cultural complex in the 1950s. In addition, the interrelationships between Gilberto Freyre, Brazil and Portugal in the constitution of this transnational narrative will be presented and then dissected according to the leaders of the black and anti-colonial movement.
