The purpose of this dissertation is to develop an internationalization plan for Pontual Software Solutions, a mid-sized software development Portuguese company operating in the Software industry. This paper identifies possible entry modes that companies can decide when expanding in overseas markets, revealing their main differences. Further, it provides an in-depth analysis of Sweden as one of the potential markets for Pontual to expand, exploring its attributes on primary dimensions: contacts, competition intensity, total market sales, company sales potential, and market entry conditions. The study’s purpose is to evaluate if Sweden is the most attractive market for the internationalization process.
