The Fintech market has been growing at a fast pace, and the Iberia region is no exception. The trend towards digitization has been accelerated by the pandemic and has forced traditional financial players to adapt. The project firstly depicts the global market environment, assessing the evolution of the number of players, the size of the funding, and the M&A activity. Results indicate the industry has both growing liquidity and variety of innovative offers. Lastly, an analysis of the European regulation landscape shows regulatory authorities are conducting efforts to foster innovation, through the implementation of innovation hubs and regulatory sandboxes.
