The thesis objective is to find the appropriate valuation of Daimler AG. The spin-off of Daimler Trucks provides an opportunity for investors to hold a premier luxury automaker, with a clear and ambitious strategy to shift from internal combustion vehicles to electric vehicles. The quality of Daimler’s electric vehicles coupled with strict cost/ investments control will ensure this new era is accretive to shareholders. The market has yet to price this strategy shift by Daimler, given the €84.9 December 2022 price target reached in this report, which implies a total shareholder return of 25.7%.
