This work project poses the first draft of a business plan of SEA!D-an early-stage startup introducing an innovative solution of sustainable plastic cards made from upcycled fishing nets. Building upon insights regarding market acceptance and consumers’ willingness to pay for recycled products, it validates the proposed business model. Applying a combined methodology of quantitative and qualitative research, this work provides a detailed description of the business venture. It also depicts the first stages of prototyping and proof of concept besides outlining the core business, its related activities, the financials, the go-to-market strategy, and the involved bottlenecks and challenges.
