The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact and development of post-investment support of European VC companies towards their portfolio. A qualitative research method based on expert interviews is chosen to achieve this. Although both founders and investors see room for improvement, they are aware that they would not have gone through the same successful process without the learning effects resulting from the support. The basis for a successful implementation of this support is a trustworthy and open relationship between the parties. As their resources limit them, European investors do not offer the same level of support as their American counterparts.
