Com base na crescente utilização das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC) na
educação e a implementação do Ensino a Distância em escolas, universidades e empresas, e
considerando a sua importância nos dias de hoje, esta pesquisa visou identificar a perceção dos
colaboradores que realizam formações internas por meio de Ensino a Distância, bem como a
perceção da empresa acerca do Ensino a Distância para a formação interna de colaboradores. A
pesquisa tem a natureza de um estudo de caso em uma empresa que serviu de terreno empírico
para realização desta tese de mestrado.
O Ensino a Distância vem passando por gerações demonstrando evolução com o passar dos
anos, a fim de atender a necessidade apresentada pela sociedade como um todo. Existem
diferentes conceitos relacionados ao Ensino a Distância, entretanto, sempre a envolver a utilização
das TIC na educação. Além disso, o Ensino a Distância tem ganhado cada vez mais espaço na
educação informal, nomeadamente nas empresas para a formação de colaboradores, onde ocorre
com uma proposta menos hierárquica, burocrática e sem prever necessariamente a continuidade.
Para obter respostas as questões de investigação, foram utilizados como instrumentos de coleta
de dados um questionário, respondido pelos próprios colaboradores da empresa e uma entrevista,
realizada com o responsável pela gestão da formação da empresa.
Após análise dos dados coletados, concluímos que nesta empresa o Ensino a Distância é
considerado como uma boa opção para a formação interna no contexto apresentado, tanto do
ponto de vista da empresa, quanto dos colaboradores, sendo apontados diversos fatores que
contribuem para esta perceção.
Based on the growing use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education and the implementation of distance learning in schools, universities and companies, and considering its importance today, this research aims to identify the perception of employees who received internal training through distance learning, as well as the company's perception of distance learning for the internal training of employees. The research has the nature of a case study in a company that served as an empirical ground for carrying out this master's thesis. Distance learning has been going on for generations showing evolution over the years, in order to meet the need presented by society as a whole. There are different concepts related to distance learning, however, always involving the use of ICT in education. In addition, distance learning has gained more and more space in informal education, particularly in companies for training employees, that occurs with a less hierarchical, bureaucratic proposal and without necessarily providing for continuity. In order to obtain answers to the research questions, a questionnaire was used as data collection instruments, answered by the employees themselves and an interview, carried out with the person responsible for the management of the company's formation. After analyzing the collected data, we concluded that distance learning is considered in this company as a good option for internal training in the given context, both from the point of view of the company and of the employees, pointing out several factors that contribute to this perception.
