Esta dissertação pretende analisar o papel dos algoritmos no contexto das plataformas de entrega de comida, em específico na plataforma Uber Eats, a partir das contribuições da Teoria Ator-Rede. Esta análise que tem como ponto de partida os algoritmos, leva também em consideração uma perspectiva associativa que envolve diversos atores. Esta investigação pretende ainda compreender o funcionamento da plataforma a partir do conceito de tradução; refletir sobre o papel das plataformas a partir do conceito de centros de cálculo; analisar o impacto da tecnologia algorítmica desenvolvida pela Uber Eats nas práticas dos atores envolvidos e nas suas respectivas relações de poder e tensões produzidas neste contexto.
This dissertation aims to analyse the role of algorithms in the context of food delivery platforms, more specifically in the Uber Eats platform, based on the contributions of the Actor-Network Theory. This analysis, which takes algorithms as its starting point, also considers an associative perspective that involves different actors. This investigation intends to understand the functioning of the platform from the concept of translation; to reflect on the role of platforms from the concept of calculation centres and to analyse the impact of the algorithmic technology developed by Uber Eats on the practices of the actors involved, and on their respective power relations and tensions produced in this context.
