Este relatório de estágio descreve a experiência real de trabalho na empresa Certas Palavras – Tradução, Edição, Formação e Serviços de Informática, Lda. (com a marca comercial Eurologos-Lisboa), especializada em serviços profissionais de tradução, no período de dois meses e meio, com início em 14 de setembro de 2020 e término em 23 de novembro de 2020, com um total de 400 horas. As ferramentas CAT (computer-aided translation) e as demais ferramentas de TI (tecnologia da informação) são instrumentos importantes e cruciais no moderno processo de formatação, tradução e revisão de textos e documentos nos diversos suportes e plataformas. No mercado de ferramentas de tradução existem diversos fabricantes concorrentes com soluções similares. Na prática, uma solução (software desenvolvido para resolver problemas) se destaca: o memoQ. Este relatório de estágio concentra-se na análise da ferramenta CAT memoQ, em especial nos aspectos da ferramenta que podem ser melhorados, visando uma maior produtividade no ambiente profissional moderno. O presente relatório de estágio registra e problematiza as observações de campo feitas durante o estágio, bem como faz o detalhamento de sugestões de novas funcionalidades no memoQ, baseadas na experiência real em ambiente de tradução profissional.
This internship report describes the actual work experience at Certas Palavras - Tradução, Edição, Formação e Serviços de Informática, Lda. (under the trade name Eurologos-Lisboa), specialized in professional translation services, for a period of two and a half months, starting on September 14, 2020, and ending on November 23, 2020, with a total of 400 hours. CAT (computer-aided translation) tools and other IT (information technology) tools are important and crucial instruments in the modern process of formatting, translating and proofreading texts and documents on various media and platforms. In the translation tools market there are several competing manufacturers with similar solutions. In practice, one solution (software developed to solve problems) stands out: memoQ. This internship report focuses on the analysis of the memoQ CAT tool, in particular on the aspects of the tool that can be improved, aiming at greater productivity in the modern professional environment. The present internship report records and problematizes the field observations made during the internship, as well as detailing suggestions for new features in memoQ based on actual experience in a professional translation environment.
