The present internship report aims to explore the concept of Slow Journalism and his contribution to the media ecosystem, particularly in Visão magazine, specifically the editorial characteristics of the articles published by Visão that are identified as this kind of journalism and the perception that the journalists who signed this articles have about the concept of Slow Journalism. To achieve this goal it was used a mixed methodology which included semi-structured interviews with three journalists and one direction element from Visão, complemented by a content analysis of all the impress editions of the magazine during the six months internship period (July to January), totalizing 27 magazine editions analyzed, in which there were identified 36 Slow Journalism articles. The majority of the analyzed articles are included in the Society’s theme and analyze in a deep way a specific theme, as it is equally notorious the amount of articles that are included in the Profile genre. Many of the Slow Journalism’s articles are cover themes and function as an attraction for the magazine’s subscription. Among the interviewees, the concern with the production of this kind of journalism was notorious, although the various constraints that condition and often hold back the practice of this slower and in-depth journalism, especially the lack of time and (financial) resources, in what seemed to be a vicious cycle.
