Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar as possíveis contribuições do método do Teatro do Oprimido para a sustentabilidade ambiental. A metodologia do Teatro do Oprimido é composta por um conjunto de exercícios, jogos e técnicas, criados pelo teatrólogo brasileiro, Augusto Boal, na década de 70, que intencionam entre outras coisas a construção de novas mentalidades nos sujeitos. Neste trabalho, investigamos essa metodologia e suas potencialidades educativas e concluímos que ela pode ser de grande interesse para a sustentabilidade, visto que possui ferramentas pedagógicas que podem ser utilizadas para a educação ambiental dos indivíduos.
This dissertation aims to analyze the possible contributions of the Theater of the Oppressed method to environmental sustainability. The methodology of the Theater of the Oppressed is composed of a set of exercises, games and techniques, created by the Brazilian theater artist, Augusto Boal, in the 70's, which intend among other things to build new mentalities in the subjects. In this work, we investigate this methodology and its educational potentialities and conclude that it can be of great interest for sustainability, since it has pedagogical tools that can be used for the environmental education of individuals.
