Os intensos processos de urbanização tem ocasionado um estresse ambiental no planeta, presenciado pelo surgimento de diferentes substâncias na atmosfera, no fundo dos oceanos, na contaminação dos solos e principalmente na variação da temperatura. A problemática das alterações climáticas se tornou preocupante quando foi observado que o aquecimento global deve afetar diretamente as cidades, tornando essencial um empenho da gestão municipal em criar estratégias de mitigação e adaptação aos impactos destas mudanças. As cidades Amazônicas apesar de serem rodeadas por florestas, revelam um inadequado planeamento e tendem a sofrer com as inundações, aumento da temperatura e do nível médio do mar. Em virtude disso a presente dissertação teve como objetivo analisar o atual cenário urbano da cidade de Belém do Pará por meio de uma análise territorial e social que constatou os problemas urbanos que devem se intensificar ou surgir com as alterações do clima. Por meio da construção de uma Análise Multicritério, das Visitas in loco, e da aplicação de questionários concluiu-se que a cidade como um todo será afetada, porém a área que concentra a maior parte da população de baixa renda sofrera com prejuízos irreversíveis se não for repensando o planeamento urbano da cidade que inclua medidas de adaptação às alterações climáticas.
The intense urbanization processes have caused environmental stress on the planet, perceived by the emergence of different substances in the atmosphere, at the bottom of the oceans, in soil contamination and especially in temperature variation. The issue of climate change became worrying when it was observed that global warming should affect cities directly, making it essential for municipal management to create mitigation and adaptation strategies to the impacts of these changes. Amazon cities, despite being surrounded by forests, were poorly planned and tend to suffer from floods, increase in temperature and sea levels. As a result, this dissertation aimed to analyzethe current urban scenario of the city of Belém do Pará through a territorial and social analysis wich found that urban problems are likely to intensify or arise with climate change. Through the construction of a Multicriteria Analysis, on-site visits, and the application of questionnaires, it was concluded that the city as a whole will be affected, however, the area that concentrates most of the low-income population will suffer irreversible damage if the city's urban planning is not rethought to include climate change adaptation measures.
