Resumo: The implications of USP7 (Ubiquitin Specific Protease 7, deubiquitinating enzyme involved in several crucial molecular pathways) interactions with LANA (Latency Associated Nuclear Antigen protein, that facilitates the tethering of viral γ-Herpesvirus episomes into the host’s DNA and promotes its replication) has multiple health consequences, since USP7 is a protein that has an essential role it the regulation of many cellular functions, like the p53-mdm2 pathway, that regulates cellular apoptosis and prevents cancer.
