comunidade.
Images within images, screens within screens, mosaics within mosaics, mediations within mediations, mirrors within mirrors, archives within archives or, in other words, heritage within heritage. Based on a mise en abyme technique and having as “Ariadne´s thread” the television program Visita Guiada (Guided Tour), this dissertation aims to discuss the contemporary relationship with heritage and the decisive, if not even central, role that the image acquires in this process. Knowing that humans have always lived with mediations, nowadays they live in mediations. In a culture where “guided tours” with culture itself proliferate, it is important to take into account the preponderance of heritage as a creator of alterity(ies) and its consumption for the construction of identity(ies), indispensable as mediations that establish connections in a community.
