A cobertura da covid-19 pela secção de Economia e Emprego do EURACTIV

Este relatório surge no seguimento de um estágio de três meses, entre março e junho de 2020, realizado na secção de Economia e Emprego do EURACTIV. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a forma como a secção de Economia e Emprego do EURACTIV procedeu à cobertura da covid-19, analisando a emergência e a ascensão de um tema de risco. Para isso, analisou-se a cobertura dessa secção à covid-19 entre janeiro (data em que foi identificado um conjunto de casos de pneumonia de origem desconhecida – que mais tarde saberíamos que se tratava de um novo coronavírus) e junho de 2020 (data que coincidiu com o final do meu
período de estágio). Como metodologia, utilizou-se a análise de conteúdo complementada com uma entrevista ao editor da secção.
This report follows a three-month internship between March and June 2020 at EURACTIV's Economy & Jobs section. The aim of this work is to analyse how the Economy & Jobs section of EURACTIV has covered covid-19, analysing the emergence and rise of a risk subject. To this end, the coverage of this section of covid-19 was analysed between January (date on which a set of cases of pneumonia of unknown origin - which we would later know was a new coronavirus) and June 2020 (date which coincided with the end of my internship). As a methodology, the content analysis was used complemented by an interview with the editor of the section.
