Este estudo procura, através da análise de um estudo de caso do concelho de Porto de Mós, compreender a ligação entre Teatro Amador e o Público, a fim de compreender a influência do teatro amador na criação de público(s), como plataforma futura para o trabalho dos artistas e grupos profissionais. Partindo da análise bibliográfica, esta investigação foca definições como teatro amador, comunidade, público e a relação afetiva entre este e o artista/espetáculo em cena. Em termos metodológicos este estudo de caso foi desenvolvido através de entrevistas não estruturadas, de questionários escritos e de conversas com os intervenientes no caso de Porto de Mós. Através desta análise procura-se ainda identificar quais os caminhos para que o artista profissional consiga no seu percurso uma ligação e comunicação mais direta com o seu público a fim da fidelização deste.
