O presente relatório centra-se na experiência profissional da estagiária na SPELL Translation Solutions, Lda., enquanto tradutora para legendagem e para dobragem, apresentando uma reflexão sobre a tradução audiovisual para a televisão em Portugal. Dá-se a conhecer uma descrição da instituição de acolhimento e do trabalho realizado no decorrer do estágio, seguida de uma fundamentação teórica da área da tradução audiovisual. De seguida, analisam-se os problemas de tradução encontrados no decorrer do estágio e as estratégias possíveis para a resolução dos mesmos, com o objetivo de ilustrar o leque dos variados problemas que um tradutor audiovisual pode enfrentar no processo de tradução para a televisão em Portugal.
This report focusses on the trainee professional experience at SPELL Translation Solutions, Lda. as a translator for subtitling and dubbing, reflecting on audiovisual translation for television in Portugal. In this report, a description of the hosting company and the work carried out during the internship are presented, followed by a theoretical basis on audiovisual translation. This is followed by an analysis of the translation problems encountered during the internship, and the possible strategies for solving them, aiming to illustrate the range of various problems that an audiovisual translator may face in the process of translating for television in Portugal.
