XX.
Literature, as a cultural phenomenon, is very significant to the ideas that go through our experiences of living in a society. In that sense, this work reveals connections between style and the world vision of Eça de Queirós, Miguel Torga and José Saramago, through the combination of a textual analysis of excerpts from these authors with social and historical analysis perspectives, to depict the evolution of the Portuguese socio-cultural landscape from the late nineteenth century to the end of the twentieth century.
