compreensão destas mutações ornamentais no registo arqueológico.
Over the centuries and around the world, jewelry and personal adornments have always fascinated both men and women. From an early age, these objects were used as a public display of cultural and personal richness, as well as in a more intimate way, the user's own taste. In this sense the use of jewelry and adornments during the XIV-XVIII centuries were elaborated through a multiplicity of raw materials and national and foreign influences. This work intends to understand these artistic objects as hybrid elements, which are largely the result of influences caused by the Portuguese overseas experience, but also by the transformations suffered in European tastes and fashions. In this sense, material and iconographic sources will be used to better understand these ornamental mutations in the archaeological record.
