O objecto de estudo do presente texto é a narrativa que se tem criado nos museus portugueses e o conteúdo da informação que está a ser transmitida sobre as colecções de objectos relativos à presença portuguesa nos territórios asiáticos durante o império ultramarino português, durante os séculos XVI e XVII.
The main objective of the present work is to investigate the narrative that has been created in Portuguese museums and its contents that are being transmitted about the collections of objects related to the Portuguese presence in Asian territories during the Portuguese overseas empire, during the 16th and 17th centuries.
