| dc.description.abstract | This work project addresses the challenge of formulating a valuable long-short strategy within the oligopolistic competition between Apple and Microsoft in the technology sector. The problem lies in effectively evaluating and distinguishing between the two companies, making reasonable forecast assumptions, and, ultimately, identifying the out- and underperformer through comprehensive valuation methods like discounted cash flow (DCF) and relative valuation. The objective is to develop a long-short strategy that optimizes risk-adjusted returns by leveraging insights from the valuation analyses. The study aims to contribute valuable insights for investors navigating oligopolistic rivalries in the technology sector. | pt_PT |
