This thesis explores the principles and practical application of regenerative tourism, a paradigm going beyond sustainability by restoring and enhancing systems to thrive. Through interviews with tourism professionals, the study identifies key principles of regenerative tourism, including systems thinking, leveraging place-based potential, and promoting community involvement.The findings reveal a considerable practical application of certain principles while highlighting the critical role of adopting a living systems worldview in achieving regenerative tourism. The research contributes to bridging the gap between theory and practice, easing the adoption of regenerative tourism principles into practice to enable a smoother regenerative transition in tourism.
