| dc.description.abstract | This thesis provides a comprehensive valuation of CTT Portugal, analyzing its financial performance, strategic initiatives, and market position. It applies various valuation methods, including discounted cash flow (DCF) for Grupo CTT (excluding the bank) and free cash flow to equity (FCFE) for Banco CTT, along with multiples valuation, Monte Carlo simulations, sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis. Additionally, the individual section examines CTT Portugal’s investment in Automated Parcel Machines (APMs) as a strategy to improve efficiency and meet increasing e-commerce and last-mile delivery demands. The study assesses potential benefits, such as cost reductions and enhanced customer service, while also considering challenges like customer adoption and market competition. Scenario-based modeling evaluates how these investments could impact profitability, growth, and competitive positioning, concluding that while APMs present significant opportunities, addressing operational and market challenges will be crucial to their success. | eng |
