| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the present paper is to provide a comprehensive study on the Portuguese private equity and venture capital market. It will address the market dimension, main players, sources of funding and most common type of investments and divestments. It will also analyze the performance of Portuguese private equity funds compared to their counterparts of in Europe and USA.
