dc.description.abstractInvesting in pharmaceutics presents lucrative opportunities, with high profit margins, due to patent exclusivity, substantial investments in R&D, robust M&A activity and relatively stable demand, even in economic downturns. The pharmaceutical industry experienced a boost in revenues due to its response to Covid-19. However, as the pandemic has subsided, sales have drastically decreased. Drug patents approaching the end of their exclusivity represent another issue to be dealt with. Nonetheless, industry’s sales are predicted to rise given unmet medical needs and population’s continuous growth, contributing to the industry’s appeal for careful analysis and investment consideration, such as a pairs trade investment strategy.eng
