A poesia, enquanto forma de expressão literária, ocupa um lugar relevante no panorama cultural, embora, no contexto contemporâneo, se caracterize por uma menor visibilidade e por tiragens reduzidas. Ainda assim, continua a afirmar-se como um espaço de experimentação, onde texto, estrutura e imagem conseguem dialogar de maneira significativa.
O objetivo deste projeto consistiu no desenvolvimento de uma antologia poética, Gavetas, que procurou aglomerar um conjunto de poemas numa estrutura coerente e intencional. Para além da dimensão textual, pretendeu-se explorar também a componente gráfica e editorial da obra. Assim, não consideramos o livro apenas como um suporte de textos, mas como um objeto construído a partir de decisões formais, visuais e estruturais que influenciam a experiência da leitura.
Para tal, recorreu-se à revisão dos textos, à análise de referências teóricas e à colaboração com leitores externos, gráficas, um ilustrador e um paginador. Por fim, apresenta-se uma proposta completa da obra, incluindo a sua edição, paginação e estratégias de produção, distribuição e comunicação.
Poetry, as a form of literary expression, takes up a significant place within the cultural landscape, although, in the contemporary context, it is often characterised by reduced visibility and relatively small print runs. Despite this, it continues to offer a space for experimentation, where text, structure, and image interact in meaningful ways. The aim of this project was the development of a poetry anthology, Gavetas, which seeks to gather a set of poems into a coherent and intentional structure. Beyond its written dimension, the project also explores the graphic and editorial aspects of the work. In this sense, the book is not considered merely as a support for texts, but rather as an object shaped by formal, visual, and structural decisions that influence the reading experience. In order to achieve this, the process involved an editing phase, the analysis of different academic works, and a collaboration with beta readers, printing services and designers. The project ultimately results in a complete proposal, incorporating the work’s structure and revision, layout, and strategies for production, distribution, and communication.
