With the excavation of these kilns a vast material collection was exhumed, composed mainly of rejected material. For this dissertation, the focus is on one of the kilns, namely the one in Sector I, Survey 11, and the study of its material collection. The materials exhumed permit the study of its chronology and typology, as well as the functionality of its pieces, letting us infer about the main typologies in use in the city of Lisbon during the modern era. This way, the main objective of this dissertation is to present the results obtained during the study of the material and structural evidence in conjunction with the analysis of the relevant bibliography, both that of the archaeological and historiographic aspects, in order to provide an appropriate contribution to the current knowledge of the Mouraria of Lisbon during the XVI and XVII centuries.
