Resumo(s)
This work project has been developed around the scope of CBDC, a central bank issued digital currency for the general population, with the goal to foster financial inclusion and provide a fully digital programmable means of payment. Central banks are experimenting with blockchain, in order to benefit from the features of the technology while also introducing a digital coin which complements cash and enforces regulation. In this report we deep dive on how CBDC evolves from cryptocurrency nascent technology and features, while differentiating major legal, structural and functional differences.
