This study aims to equip cruise lines with insights on how to successfully collaborate with
startups in the area of sustainable packaging. It provides a comprehensive analysis of 775
emerging companies in sustainable packaging, using a PitchBook dataset. The research
categorizes these startups based on their approaches and identifies trends and growth patterns.
The emerging companies are screened and potential use cases for collaboration with cruise lines
are examined. The findings demonstrate the strategic importance of sustainable packaging
initiatives in meeting consumer demands and improving operational efficiency, emphasizing
the transformative potential of corporate-startup collaborations in driving sustainability in the
cruise line industry.
