Utilize este identificador para referenciar este registo.

Resumo(s)

National culture is a key factor in the field of human resource management (HRM), since cultural characteristics can influence the HRM practices used in each country, as well as the responses to those policies both by managers and subordinates. This project examines the formalization and evaluation of the human resource (HR) function, in particular through the comparison involving Portugal and Austria, on the one hand, and national and multinational companies, on the other. The analysis, based on qui-square tests of independence, reveals that Portugal and Austria differ on the formalization and evaluation of HRM practices. The same cannot be stated concerning national and multinational firms, on which no significant disparities were found.
